Influence of Groundnut Waste as Substrate and Host Plant on Inoculum Production of Endophytic Mycorrhiza for Large Scale Agricultural Application

A pot culture experiment was conducted to study the effect of soil amendment with different forms groundnut waste on spore population and root infection indigenous Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungal species i.e. Glomus mosseae under polyhouse conditions. Two angiospermic plant viz. sorghum sesame were also examined for mycorrhization potential in study. Observations made percent colonization, density AM fungi effectiveness shoot biomass both host plants. The results indicated that colonization levels substantially enhanced by application compost as a substrate over dry waste. Among growth parameters, height, length recorded more than Sesame. On whole, reported highest 75 g/pot concentration Also, Sorghum appeared be better sesame.
